
On 20th March 2021, Turkish president announced Turkey’s withdrawal from the Istanbul Convention treaty with a presidential decree which was met with concern both domestically and internationally. Istanbul Convention is a human rights treaty that aims to prevent and eliminate any type of violence and discrimination against women.
