Welcome to a workshop where we discuss the youth movement and elections!
Date and Time: November 8th, 13:00-15:00
Place: Zoom meeting (Link will be sent to participents)
Youth face many challenges when they try to organize themselves, create change, and influence decision-makers as well as be meaningfully included in decision-making processes on different levels. However, the experience and knowledge on these issues stemming from various contexts and situations are vast and are worth exploring and sharing. Together we can strengthen our work through sharing experiences and tools. In Agenda 2030 goal 16, Peace, Justice, and Strong institutions, it is stated that everyone should have equal access to influence and demand accountability from decision-makers. The importance of meaningful participation and inclusion of young people is also emphasized in the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 – Youth, Peace and Security, one of the key pillars being participation in all decision-making processes.
Do you want to share your thoughts and experiences on these important topics? Join LSU’s digital workshop and meet our partner- and member organizations and discuss meaningful participation, expectations on elections, and best practices working with election-related efforts.
